Essie Cashmere Matte

Almost three months since I last posted! I'm completely useless and I'm sorry! I guess it's been a crazy start to 2015!

I'll be posting all my manis from the last few months over the next week or so but today I have swatches of Essie's gorgeous new Cashmere Matte collection. I'm in love!

First up is All Eyes On Nudes. It's a beautiful coffee coloured brown shimmer. The consistency was perfect and it dried really quickly. This is 3 thin coats with no top coat. 

Next is my personal favourite, Just Stitched. I've found in the past Essie's pale colours to be way too thin to use easily but this one went on so beautifully and has a stunning shimmer to it. This will be perfect with spring on the way! This is 3 thin coats with no top coat.

Next is Comfy In Cashmere. I think it has the most obvious blue toned shimmer to all of them, which I find really interesting in a brown. I took the photo on a cloudy day, but I'd love to see the shimmer in the sunlight. This was 3 thin coats with no top coat.

Next is the gorgeous Coat Couture. It's a purply, grey, blue shimmer colour. Again, this is absolutely stunning in and out of the bottle. This was 3 thin coats with no top coat. 

And last but not least is Wrap Me Up. It's not got a shimmer to it and is the most standard of them all. But still has a great consistency and is a really thick and covering cream. This is 3 thick coats with no top coat.

Bunny Bums

Though I do say so myself, this has to be one of the cutest manis I've ever done! And it was remarkably easy. 

Colours used - O.P.I. - Put A Coat On It, Essie - Eternal Optimist, BarryM - Black, Models Own - Ebony Green.

Christmas!!

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you all had a lovely day and ate and drank far too much! I know I did! I'm not massively a fan of Christmas (other than spending time with family, obviously) so I decided to embrace that with my nails and instead of going for the obvious sparkly design with trees and snow or such like, I'd go a little Scrooge chic! Personally I'm super happy with how they turned out and wore them with pride all day! 

I've added a couple of snaps from my day. My dad and I have a early tradition of setting the Christmas pudding alight, and every year there's too much fire and my mum freaks out! But it's fun anyway ;)

Proud Moments

As I've said before I love painting roses. But in the last couple of weeks I've done these two manis and simply not wanted to take them off! I'm so happy with how they both turned out, especially the blue and green one. They're different to my usual style but it's now a firm favourite.

Now, I can't promise many posts in the next week or so as I had surgery on my knee yesterday so will be dosed up on hundreds of pain killers and unable to move around for a bit! But Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back to normal.

Winter Manis

'Tis that season again. Where the red and green nail paints get used up, you almost kill yourself trying to make the perfect snowflake, and there's no sun to take a good picture. Yes, I've finally admitted to myself that summer is well and truly over and it is the dreaded season known as Winter. 

To mark the occasion here are a few winter themed manis I've done in the last week or so.

Colours used - Essie, Lapiz Of Luxury, Jingle Hi Jingle Low, Models Own - Asscher Blue, BarryM - VIP, O.P.I. - Put A Coat On It, 17 - Holo Glitter

These reminded me of Elsa from Frozen!

BarryM Autumn

I've seen loads of nail artists so wood textures and thought it looked amazing but really hard. I finally got the courage to try it the other week and was amazed by how easy it was to make it look effective! 

Colours used - BarryM - Cocoa, Mushroom, Paprika, Cardamom, Mustard, Chilli
